The title of the thread really describes these picures well. It's an interesting construction in the first picture, what could that be? (About the blue cast, is that intentional or a bit off WB?)

i'm not familiar with the term you just asked me since im new to digital photography but this is an old picture taken during my vacation using a Canon SD100 point and shoot camera and the picture was never edited at all.

I was referring to white balance (WB). I don't know what kind of photo editing software you have, but all have some sort of white balance correction. If you like to lean more about WB, see e.g. >this< (external link), you can find many more tutorials about that topic in the net.

If you don't have any software yet, get one. An easy and free start is e.g. Picasa (external link).
