i am thinking of getting this lens to compleat my wide angle area, does anyone have any input on this idea.

i currently have

tamron 19-35
tamron 28-75
canon 50mm 1.8
canon 100-400 l is
20d, eos3, 430ex flash
and a manfroto tripod and ball head

i intend to switch my tamron 19-35 for a canon 16-35l 2.8, and the 70-200l 2.8 but for now i am thinking of getting the sigma 10-20, any ideas on this thanks for you input.

See this thread.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Sigma 10-20 is a nice UWA lens compareable to Canon 10-22 at half of the cost

Good choice,
get rid of tamron 19-35
I would prefer Canon's 10-22mm though.

I'd go for this lens in a shot, the saving over the Canon version is too good.

I'm starting to look seriously at a number of Sigma lenses, nd on the whole their reputation is good. Possibly some calibration issues but nothing that can't be swapped or fixed.

Canon 6D
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 , Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
CanonEF 17-40 f/4 L Canon EF 24-70 f/4 IS L and 70-200 f/4 L :D
Speedlite 580EX and some bags'n pods'n stuff

I see more threads on calibration issues for Canons than I do for Sigmas :)

I always think of Sigma as the other Canon.
Who else is with me?
Won't be surprise to see they merge if the owners act American.
