I just had a private communication from Malla...yes, that one, Connie's ex boyfriend. Be that as it may, I think Malla is onto something no good.... ....apparently planning to post some pigeon food shots here.

Now, that could turn out to be more serious than you might think. Unlike a few other 300 f/2.8L owners, Malla's lens copy seems real good and the lad also appears quite profficient with it. If you remember his recent duck shots, he wooped the local crowd on the Bird Forum with a couple of those.

Which means that we may have to go back to the drawing board and take this shootout a bit more seriously, because I have a gut feeling he ain't coming here with just one lucky shot to be sniffed at.

If we let Malla cum 300 f/2.8L outshine our submissions, that would break our friend Unstoppable's heart. We must not allow that, right ?

So sharpen your wits Connie and Ollie, and let us get ready.

He wishes   Hey, I'm ready. I got a new Sigma and am ready to take it all the way (but not up that way son, if you get my drift!!) Not even an EX. It's just a plain ol' DC, just like me ;-)a And I don't mean AC-DC there kid :p

Anyway, thing is, if Malla comes with an interesting shot then job done. He is one of us (rather than one of them!) What we cannot abide in this thread is the 'sharp but dull' rubbish AKA CC stylee

That's the way to think dialectically.....if he is good, as I suspect he may turn out to be, why fight him.....we'll just adopt him. That'll fortify the ranks of us Young Turks.;)

I think this one might be just what you are looking for. No PP, not shot with your favorite L (enough said). Taken with a Canon T-50, fully manual. Canon 28-70 f/3.5-4.5. I took out what was left of a Turkey dinner to the cats (that is what is in the bowel) when they decided to have their own Thanksgiving Dinner and invite the chickens over.

Actually there are not too many things a chicken will not eat. They will even eat chicken.

Connie lad is the MC on this thread. However, he has probably succumbed to demigod Hypnos (obviously, not a Mere Mortal) by now, so I shall attempt to critique your shot the best way I know how in his absence.
I think the forte of it is a strikingly Dr. Doolittle atmposphere, with a pinch of Noah Ark, as well as Kingdom Come.
Catholic faunal themes like that generally appeal to Connie and Maria, possibly Olligarchy as well.
Also, a special doomsday Kingdom Come effect is attained by positioning the feed atop of an intercontinental missile silo. Clearly, the image reflects your belief in ultimate preparedness and survival of the fitest.

You owe us $76.44 for this critique. Please make the cheque payable to "Olligarchy Fund for Repatriation of Hellsinking Pissoirs".

I will get the check out ASAP. The missile silo is how we hunt chickens and cats in Iowa. That and the Turkey dinner bait.:D

I always think that everyone wants (and needs) to know everything that I know. Is that not the case? Hmm maybe my students are right. Naahhh.:D

Also, remember that you are the one with the coLLectors cLassification. I am just making sure that someone lives up to that classification

OK, I do appreciate that part. However, for your continuing edification, I must tell you that the classification pigeonhole you have placed yoursef into (;) ) is not a lonely isolation cell at all. For example, there is another junior member (not overly active as of late) who claims to be in possession of two 50 f/1.0's in his kit. There are a few more I know of, motives unknown.
