Thanks again guys :)
#3 is my fave as well...it has a surreal look to me.
As soon as I saw the scene, I made a B-Line for it.

Suomi...yes it was lots of fun.
We get to do it all over again Sunday evening...I'm sure there'll be more threads with similar titles from some of the other guys.

The third is fantastic Steve but, really, all are well done. The downed tree leading the eye into the shot in the third, along with the great colors and rays of light, really make that one stand out to me.
Great job!

Comparable to rock concert venue stage lighting...just without the loud sound...most interesting and serene...

You've got some fabulous looking shots there Steve, gorgeous colors. Staring down the end of that log is an excellent shot, very creative.

Would you mind sharing your camera settings if you may...Thanks

Frank.. the camera settings were as follows:

f16 (yes I know I shouldn't go over f13 with the 17-40L, but I was trying to exaggerate the twinkle effect on the spotlights on some of the shots)
The log shot was a 13" exposure at ISO200.

Additional camera settings were mirror lockup, long exposure noise reduction and 10 second timer enabled (I lost my shutter release cable!)

I used the shadow/highlight tool on the log only using a layer mask.
The rest of the PP was basic adjustments in Lightroom Beta and USM sharpening in LAB Mode on the Lightness Channel.

Thanks again guys for the comments...#3 it is then? :)

The rest of the shots are in this gallery (external link)
