From yesterdays POTN visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. I say him displaying several times during the day, but always had my hands full feeding my face.:D I wondered how well the camera could capture the iridescent colours of the feathers but it seemed to have coped well enough.

I so wanted to get pictures of this beautiful bird in India but they are very skittish in the wild and dont let you get close enough. I suppose captive ones are better photo subjects. The feather shot is very nice.
Anyone have a picture of a peacock displaying its feathers during a mating dance, please share it with us. Thanks.

This guy was wandering around the park. Every now and then he would display - usually to a crowd of point & shoots.
