It's a great lens and I'm sure you're going to like it, but that last one stinks.

(sorry...I couldn't help myself)

Great lens, but a duck is a duck and a turkey will not do.

So that's what that was? I was looking at it like (WTF, that's no DUCK, but it's no crane.)

Have fun and enjoy getting to know just what an excellent lens it is.
If like many of us you went through the IS or no IS question before you made your purchase I am sure it will not be very long before you find just how useful it can sometimes be in helping to get you out of trouble.

In the second one, does the buck hear a duck?

I would have a problem being that close to a skunk since it was 70mm

Jeez... Do you live in a zoo? (quite a variety there!)

Congrats on the new lens, I am sure you will love it!

Haha. Seriously, I have no idea where to find a skunk, moose or turkey near me. Possibly a skunk on the odd day, but usually you can only smell him, can't actually see him.

Got lucky that day.
I was doing a little scouting for an upcoming hunting trip. Figured I would shoot them with my canon. I like this more then hunting!:D ! I have a lot to learn, this is all new to me.
As for the skunk, sat still and it walked by some 10’ feet from me. No fast movements with a skunk please!!! :p

Good start! :) The last two are good but the first one seems to be out of focus?

Next step I think is start shooting in RAW. RAW and any 70-200mm L lens are a match and then you see that L glass truly shine.

Nice subjects! The shots do look a little OOF, though.

This lens is capable of a lot more!

I thought it was just me but for L glass especially they do seem out of focus.
