tequila- to kill ya... I had a fight with quervo about eight years ago... when I skipped homecoming to go to a party... and still, there isn't a day that goes by where the smell of it makes me gag... but, I make excellent margaritas.. (or so i've been told).. my favorite recipes include crushed ice, grand marnier, 1800, amaretto and a splash of grenadine...there's also one with 1800 midori, roses lime, and triple sec blended with a sugar rim.... fairly proud of them...

sari

I forgot you were a bartender again...okay my fav. goes like this (1:1:1)
El Presidente Brandy
Sauza Anejo Conmemorativo Tequila
margarita mix
dash of lime juice
non-blended and no salt.

Oh, no! Don't do that. I like to think of this thread as the POTN version of "The Neverending Story." :)

I think of it as "One flew over the cucku's nest"

I just hold my nose when I drink a shot of it. Keeps the gagging at bay.

Those recipes sound good. I wish you were here to mix up a few of those for me.

if you like i'll send you a copy of my original recipes.. I have some great rum drinks a couple of coffee drinks, several shooters etc... oh jeez.. I don't even drink but I spend way too much time behind a bar...

Looks that way.

u guys crack me up!
skrim17, have u got it yet?

gee, the guy i am dating is 11 years older than me. I do think about it, and the getting older and retirement bit, but don't know, it just kinda feels right, for the moment anyway. And i am no spring chicken either. . (And lucky he is not up himself over his photography.) Actually, he is judging this month's camera club comp, but he didn't tell me at first 'cause he didn't want to influence what i was going to put in the comp, and here was me sprouting about how i hoped the next judge would remember i was b grade, etc etc (last months judge was very hard on all of us, and my piccie got sort of canned). When i found out I felt a bit silly there for a while!

maggie mix!!! oh say it isn't so... maggie mix is for.... okay, nonbartenders... so I guess it's okay... the brandy sounds interesting i've done like SoCo with margaritas but never brandy.. I might give it a try if I have a willing tester at some point.. I really, truly never drink the stuff...

Sounds interesting :)

I need a good drink (and half the time I'm too lazy to mix anything more than JB and coke or vodka ribena (you wouldn't believe what goes into this..))

ribena??.. you stumped me. and I don't like being stumped.... what is it?.. by the way, JB and coke is perfectly respectable... nothing wrong with that..

...well you've got me...I'm no bartender but I do like to have things on hand...and since straight "sweetened lime juice" is a bit too much, I have to (hangs head in shame) use the blended mix...

Yep that is what I am saying. I usually never have any leftovers in the fridge anyway. But really dinner food in the morning doesn't appeal to me.

I've never tried whisky, bourbon, vodka...or scotch...always wondered what a good "aged" scotch tastes like...I hate wine (don't like anything remotely sweet....well except my bfk's) and am fond of lager...allergic to ale...

my favorite 'breakfasts' consists of pizza-cold or it doesn't count mostly with the cheese picked off, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, last nights baked potatoes fried up with ketchup, and tortillas with cheese in the microwave...

but, mostly I eat toast with jam...
