If anyone is interested in going to Costa Rica next year, we need to talk. It is beautiful. We go in a group. Usually about 10 or more. You must be scorpion proof. They do hurt when attacked and do take 2-3 more beers to get over. Ok, 4 beers.

cya Sari...

PG: eek veg  besides cat already has that as her location in the sig, maybe it could be promoted up to a title

Celery is good in soup though. Putting one in my alcohol is well, terrifying.

Interesting.. now we have two cats here, so if the Calico one shows up, we'll have to call him something else.

And POTN is educational.... I used to say I learned more about my job on IRC than I ever learned at college. (and those skills STILL save my bacon, each and every day..). IRC - maybe that's why I can keep up with the conversation.

Say, anybody interested in an IRC server for participants on this thread? I can host one.

(IRC: Internet Relay Chat. Differs from other instant messaging services in the respect that it is more suited to conferences/multiple users yapping away at the same time, very much like a realtime version of this thread..)

This thread went so fast that I just had to go back over several pages to find my "recommendations"...unbelievable...no wonder Maureen needs a bloody Mary...if she's the one assigned to moderate this thing!

I'm sure it will settle down in a while. The crew from "down under" should be signing on soon, and they aren't quite as chatty.

When we were in Costa Rica last summer there was a girl from down under. She was very vocal and outright direct.

But you MUST read it all. As I said in an earlier post, no Cliff Notes allowed. And I'm the teacher!

I just got caught up after a day's absence. I thought for a second that my forum preferences had been changed, because I couldn't believe how many pages behind I was.

Brief summary since I left (in no particular order):

  • Moooooo
  • Raining men in the midwest - but not all the midwest
  • Birthday Party went well, and Sari wisely didn't do any of the things we encouraged her to do
  • Dinner for breakfast is underrated -- but breakfast for dinner is widely appreciated
  • A good bartender comes in handy
  • Oh, yeah -- guys need to remember to hold the door for their wives/girlfriends/want to be relationships
I think I've started my sons off right in the last category, at least. My oldest always rushes to hold the door for his mom. My middle son (4) tries -- but often finds the doors too heavy. Both older boys are sure to remind me on any trip through Costco if I don't happen to stop and buy flowers for my wife.

Hey, for an innocent bystander, you're pretty good! Nice summation but you're going to get flunked for helping the other students cheat...

And I'll give the other ones another version of the test so they can't cheat.
