Pretty!
I wanted to go out today...had the same idea about catching the last bit of color....but husband is working late and where I want to go is pretty isolated so I won't be going alone (that's one time when I dog would really come in handy...wouldn't feel so unprotected when I go shoot alone).

Ok, it's midnight and I've been working for the past 3-4hrs. I need my beauty sleep now.

Oh it's a fine car, especially compared to some of the junk they put out today. The 300 reminds me of a mix between a BMW, a new mustang, and something else..can't put my finger on it.

A toaster?

My wife wanted a Caddie CTS. I wanted no part of it, so the Lexus was the compromise.

I owned new Cadillacs in 1970, 72, 74, 76, 77, 79, and 81. Each was worse than the previous one. The last one, the '81 Seville, I gave away to a stranger because it was such a piece of junk, I couldn't in good conscience accept money for it. At that, I felt guilty. The car had 75K relatively easy miles on it.

My wife forgot that part of owning a Cadillac.

I like the Chryslers very much. That was a car I also considered. I think they have a polished 'muscular' look to them.

I'm not sure.... I'll have to check the wet ones all over my lawn and in my gutters because there aren't any in my trees anymore!!

Actually, I have seen some strange changes like that. Not sure what would cause them though.

it's hard to lose our pets.. we spend soo much of our day with them.. they're like children... it's hard to imagine life without them..

Within the last three years, I lost Wally, my 16 year old German Shepherd, PeeWee, my 17 year old cat, and Garbo, my 18 year old cat. I'd had them since they were small, so it almost killed me to lose them. I still haven't gotten over PeeWee's death and probably never will.

Ah...but I am a dyed in the wool bachelor...for about the past 16 years....the only part of my marriage that wasn't a mistake were the kids....wouldn't trade them for the world...
Bombs away!

I know how you feel. I've been divorced since '98 and can't bring myself to consider marriage again. I lived with the last fellow for seven years until he passed away in January of lung cancer. Now I'm doing the dating thing once again. And, yes, it's still raining men here in Illinois! :)

Liza and Suzie, thank you for the happy birthdays, I just saw it! :)

You're quite welcome. Hope you had a great time!

Does anybody else have a problem where they just can't remember stuff? I used to be really good at all of this, never forgetting any of them. And I feel really bad that I can't do everything I used to be able to.

Happens to me all the time. It's called getting old.

We still have some leaves on the trees, but not many. I didn't think the fall colors were very pretty this year in our neck of the woods.

Oh now Mark, there's nothing like having an energetic young person call you psychedelic...you often "produce hallucinations and apparent expansion of consciousness."

Similar story here - our dog and two cats, all in advanced years, passed away within the last 3 years. It was tough watching them get old and we miss them all dearly. Unfortunately, as Tom pointed out, you're probably going to outlast your animals most of your life.

I wasn't around back then, so I can't say. Maybe it was a "bad spell" for Cadillac. I don't know. All I can say is that there's no way you'd hate one now. Of course, with the exception of the CTS. I don't really know how you're built, but I'll tell you..riding in that CTS was worse than riding in a Toyota Corolla. The ride was great and the style was fine, but I was so squeezed in, it wasn't funny. Same goes for the Porsche Cayenne I tried out. Great car, but far too small for me (as well as the SRX). The DTS, STS, and Escalade, as well as the roadster, are all wonderful cars and very comfy. The air ride suspension is second to none. The style is exceptional and very well thought out. It's not just made to look good; it's also made to feel good.

I never thought I'd achieve consciousness....and, well really I haven't...but at least I never set my expectations too high...
