Nice! This place also uses rehab birds which they say cannot be released back into the wild due to survival concerns. Their primary mission is a sanctuary and rescue for injured wildlife, after all. I guess the birds are sorta working to 'pay the bills' :)

Yes, that was the same here...you can tell they are good to their birds, but you can also tell that the birds just yearn for their freedom...it's sad. But they are amazing to see up close.

Well guys, I've got an early call tomorrow so I'll say goodnight as well. Have fun at the sanctuary tomorrow Lightstream. I'd like to see the shots...(I'll be envious of the ability to get out and shoot for sure!)

Well I am no Calicokat who has the bird fly over him at the moment he points the 400/5.6L up*, so..... I make do ;)

Where the wildlife won't come to you, you gotta go to the wildlife..... ;)

cya.. I'm actually going Saturday, not tomorrow.. still got work to do!

(* not trivializing his work and his extended hike to get there. I'm too lazy to hike through terrain and besides there are few enough birds of prey here...)

The Fast & the Furious was car porn. :p

Gone in Sixty Seconds was a very good movie. TF&TF was.."eh". The second one, while still not a great movie, was a lot better, imo. If anything, it was a worthwhile way to beat the summer heat for a couple hours.

Tokyo Drift was pretty cool. Acting kinda sucked, but that is not why I watched it. :p Drifting is amazing to me....

Both are crap movies, the first one really doesn't have any good car chase sequence in it. it's a movie about stealing cars and when they do one at the end what do they do. quick cuts and nothing of great vaule in the camera action. The TF&TF series are just plan boring and nothing exciting. Again hollywood feeds out crap and gets away with it.

if you wont to see some good car action in a movie watch Ronin, the story is ok but the car action makes it more enjoyable. If you have already seen it there is a sence where a rocket launcher blows up a car, when they were filming it a driver was still in it. this is what car action should be in a movie. I already know how to change gears in a car I don't need to see it in a movie.

BTW if anyone ever needs to see a real car porn watch a UK Show called Fifth Gear or Top Gear.

Hey Permie...the little girl that was in the stolen car last night was found in Richmond, VA....unharmed...the crook finally realized he had the kid in the car...left the car and the kid where she would be found quickly.

Maybe there is hope for the jerk some day.. he's still a jerk (armed hijacking of a vehicle) and deserves all he gets but at least he let the girl go.
