Mean; why? Your presence is appreciated....

I am not a morning person either. Catch me at the wrong time in the morning and I can go from zero to b|+ch in less time than it takes for a 5D to wake up when you half press the shutter.

haha.. mean because I'm a bartender... atleast up here I am and mornings aren't my favorite time of day, and it's dark outside and cold and the alarm went off at 5am.. and I just plain want to be in bed right now..with the blankets over my head.. I'm not in a bad mood though.. I'm just whiny. and the only good time to get up in the morning is to go shooting, which doesn't bother me in the least but to get up for somthing as monotonous as work... well i'm allowed to be a little grouchy..

This is why, for all the sunset shots I've chased, one may likely never see a sunRISE from me. ;)

Experienced photogs say there are two 'windows' where the light is at its best, as far as I am concerned only the evening one exists :p

There really is no excuse for this time of day...unless it is those brief moments to capture a stellar sunrise...beyond that....we should all be snuggled comfy in our beds...dreaming of happy little things.;)

That's ok, we're here to listen. :)

There was only one job I've ever had, that I could jump out of bed at 6AM on a Monday morning and charge into work feeling like a million bucks. Ahhh.... no coffee needed there I can tell you that!

Heck yes!

The only other times when I have been up at 5AM are when I've been pulling an all nighter. The little birds which go cheep cheep are the most feared animal amongst me and my guys, because when the little birds go cheep cheep, you are soooooo SCREWED - it means you have been up all night working, you are not going to get any sleep, and things are NOT going to work out. Fear the bird, indeed!

(birds go off at ~5-5:30AM. Don't ask how I know. :p)

The only reason one would normally find me awake at such an abnormal hour is if I too had pulled an all-nighter. Or if it is raining....like it is today.

haha.. how about that first part of the morning when you're driving home and all you can think of is that if you beat the sun to bed then you really will still have gotten to bed before morning... Or when you look around and realize that it's six am you have a final in three hours and you just spent the entire dang night reading some novel.. .. Or my favorite... (which I haven't done in Years! years I tell you!).. is when your bestfriend convinces you that it would be smarter to stay awake until your sober again.. thereby skipping the one foot on the floor and daybreak hangover..

what was the job that let you dance around like a cartoon character?

Oooh...bad memories of jetlag there. Arrive at 5AM, think you will still get some sleep, wake up later in the day, sleep schedule totally screwed, feel terrible....

Exams - I was terrible. I'd spend the days leading up to them playing computer games and chatting with my crew on IRC. I figured by then, either I knew my stuff or I didn't and I was either going to get high marks or fail horribly. It was pretty much exactly that.

Favorite job of mine was at a dot-com era Internet service provider. I don't think I'll ever be able to top that. :(
