No black friday today for me, Maureen. I was in NYC with my mother and family. I even ate amazing Dim Sum, brought some home, even. Should be yummy when I have leftovers. :)

I drove past the Canon Service Center in NJ on the way home and snapped a shot, but we were going too fast. I sent my 24-70 there for service and next time, I may call ahead and ask if they will clean my sensors for me while I wait. It's just off 95. My husband laughed when I said I need to visit that place. With all the things to see in NY, I want to see B&H and the Canon Service Center. You know you are a photographer when you think B&H is a tourist place. :)

I hear it's huge and that tissues are required for all that drooling.:D

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I couldn't even get near it this trip. It took us almost 9 hours to drive from VA to NYC instead of 4 on Thursday. We literally sat at the exit to the Goethal's Bridge for over an hour because people were not merging right at the toll plaza. Thanks heavens for our EASY PASS. The going was so slow, and it was rainy and cold, bad conditions to start. We had the turkey so everyone had to wait for us. Instead of getting there at 2 pm, we got here around 4:30. Coming home was a breeze, though. :)

They will clean your sensor "while you wait." Actually, they suggest you go to a nearby diner and get a cup of coffee and come back. That's what I heard them tell another customer when i was there.

Unfortnately, there's not much to see there though. It's just a counter with a very pretty girl working behind it.

Wait, there is quite a bit to see on second thought.:o

The girl at the counter in the Irvine office might be pretty. I really don't recall. I do remember her being very nice, however, and she didn't tell me to leave while they cleaned my sensor. She gave me an EOS system catalog, and invited me to wait. (Smart girl.)

It must be the green, leafy nose. You don't see many of those, you know.

Tommy, I seem to have a bit of a situation on my hands. A problem, really.
In fact I am afraid my a$$ is gra$$, or was that "my a$$ for gra$$" as they used to say in the 60's.
Anyways, I eventually managed to get my long suffering wife out of the house next Wednsday, confidently expecting the delivery of my new lens on that day .
Now, the UPS boobs plan on delivering it on Tuesday ! :o
Yup, I might have cooked my goose this time around. I think I am finished.

Call UPS. If you have the tracking number, they'll hold it for a day. I've done that a couple times in the past. Your marriage is safe.

Actually, you can do it online.

Why can't there be any young(or George Clooney) attractive males representing the photography community?

Dr.Ludjak, this Danielle child seems to be implying in a roundabout way that you are neither young nor attractive.....do you get that sorta comments often...like from your daughters ? From a NYPD officer who stops you for speeding ? From your therapist ? From your rabbi ?
