You think you get in trouble with the packages that show up on your front porch? I love Claire like a daughter, but she would be very difficult to explain to my dearly beloved.

Hmmmmm.

On the other hand, it might be worth it.;)

LOL Thanks for the offer (eh, I think!), but I'd rather not have any American woman mad with me. Heck, you guys are allowed to carry guns over there! I'd like to return to Sweden in one piece...

I say....she can teach ya Sweedish.....which could come handy once you decide to get into Hassleblad camera gear.;) Because, soner or later you gonna switch to MF, yes ?
Most important, having a Sweedish nanny would add to your prestige in the community.

Did anyone consider customs?

Sometimes you can get by with weird stuff, but I doubt slapping a gift sticker on her would work.

I already know how to count to twelve in Swedish. Our next door neighbors were Swedes when I was a wee tyke, and they took a liking to me. No one has liked me since.

I might have to if my eyes get any weaker.

Does that mean I have to have kids? We've avoided it this long, I'd hate to do it just to impress my neighbors. Besides, the age difference between Claire and me is such that I really should hire a nanny to keep an eye on her.

The more I think about this, the poorer the idea seems.

LMAO I thought Belmondo would at least have me transported by economy class, not in the baggage area!

Pet, yes I can be the Swedish nanny or exchange student. JA?!

Agreed ... wee Claire is now of marrying age and perhaps will soon be in need of a change of scene IMO. She could to head up to Boise, Idaho and find a young farmers lad who is a bit slow but due a fine inheritance; even better, why not marry the aged and infirm father and grab the inheritance herself within a short but sweet couple of weeks for the fella.

Pet, yes I can be the Swedish nanny or exchange student. JA?!

My grandfather hosted a couple of Swedish cousins to come over as exchange students, then helped them stay as nanny's, then had to get a congressman he'd used to do some serious fundraising for intervene with the INS to allow them to stay in the country when they ran into visa issues (Grandpa always believed the rules applied to people without connections in high places).

Recently, my wife was looking for some family photos to submit to an organization she belongs to that was publishing a directory. When she found that the last picture we had of all five of us was taken four months ago by a Disneyland cast member, and prior to that was taken at the birth of our now ten month old, she decided that I needed to invest in a better self timer/remote trigger. I guess that's one way of getting more gear, but on the downside, I've been in a dozen family poses in the last two weeks. ;)

The 3-1-1 refers to 3 ounces of fluid, 1 bag, 1 something. :)

I though that's why Pet wanted me to go with Belmondo...

I think that idea has a significant complication called Mrs Belmondo and so why go that route and risk having to share any cash when you could head up to Sari-land and marry one of her simple and aged townsmen? Strategy my girl is all important. A simple cost/benefit analysis indicates the Belmondo route just isn't the favoured option.

Of course, there are a number of 'batchelors' at POTN: most of them are American so why not do a national tour, like a pop princess? Some of them who could be eligible prospects seem to have no money, like Ronald and CDi Donny, so can be scratched from any list ... a little research will show who could be better prospects. A hire car and a carefully planned route should generate a number of proposals with not much financial outlay for yourself :D

Ja, I could use a Sweedish nanny if Belmondo chickens out.
Are your arms and back strong enough, can you carry heavy lenses/camera in a backpack (about 12 lb for about 2-3 hours of walking)?
