I wouldn't think skiing and snowboarding would be a very good idea when it's that cold. It would seem you'd get windburned all to hell. It'd be tough to cover your whooole face and still breath enough to do well skiing, etc., wouldn't it?

not the hot chocolate.. creamy sweet beverages make me gag.. I'm a coffee girl.. as to the skiing or snowboarding I think i'm going to try whichever one hurts the least when you fall on your face.. :o .. But, I may have to be a bit more bored than I am right now..

I've done both in my day and, believe me, they are equally painful when you fall on your face!!

ahh nothing like summer :) hmmm wait it's been raining for the couple of days. And even the south island had snow yesterday.

well today is the first day of summer. I guess then the sunshine will start, and when we start seeing burn factors in the weather reports. nothing like spending 12mins outside and then getting sun burned. :)

Burn factors? Wow.

I have family in Peth, Australia. Thay came up last winter. My cousins never saw snow, so they were pretty estatic to go skiing and snow boarding. They were also cold as heck.

Yeah, we've got a big hole in the ozone above us, so skin cancer is a pretty big issue here. UV factors usually get carried in the weather reports during summer.

I haven't been skiing for years... I was lucky enough to learn most of my skiing in Switzerland - amazing slopes there! Its just a way of life for them.

Just that first part is enough to make me move to the opposite side of the earth.
