i used to have the tamron 28-75 and ended up getting the 10-22 efs. the build on it is very nice. it feels almost similar to the 24-105L. having the 10-22 on an XT is very lightweight combo. great lens

airbutchie Not too crunchy More info | I took these pics with my Tokina 12-24mm UWA (ultra-wide angle) lens this past weekend at the Hotel Coronado in San Diego... Buildings to the right are tilting a bit... I'm sure they could be corrected when I post process the image... C&C's are always welcomed... - airbutchie ![]() Hi. My name is Butch...

Wilt Reader's Digest Condensed version of War and Peace [POTN Vol 1] More info | Oct 26, 2006 11:27 | #51 mjgravina wrote in post #2172050 (I made a crude correction in PS2 of the cathedral, and it does straighten up if needed). And if anyone wonders if fixing perspective distortion in Photoshop is equal to using a Perspective Control lens with shifts (no it isn't) the corrected shot gives a terrific illustration of that...spreading out the existing pixels at the upper part of the photo to correct the distortion merely thins out the data content across a wider area, and it results in blurry towers in the photo! I prefer the 'falling over' building to a 'corrected in Photoshop' version any day! You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! Agreed, you get exactly the same effect using the barrel/pincushion correct as well, in the case it is interpolation loss. Gear List

I was just playing with the perspectives and the lines. The crude straightening I did could be made to look a bit better, however I must say I like the original shot as it is (As posted by NAisBest), and would not change it. Those are some great photos. Thanks Canon5DMkII - Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS - Canon 24-70 f/2.8L - 580 EXII -

Take it for what it is and do not try to compare it to what it isn't and you will be happy with it.. Doc Klepper in the USA
