First XMas Portrait

My cousin who I havent seen in a while stopped over my house yesterday. Her and my wife wanted to see if my daughters old x-mas dress would fit her baby. Well it did, so I quickly setup the light and snapped a few shots. I also thought I would try something different, so I laid out an old storm door window to catch a reflection. I wish it was bigger so I could have gotten the whole reflection, but ohh well...

What do you think? I would appreciate any comments on the lighting, I know its not perfect, I had little time to set it up and even less time to make adjustments.

Very nice picture. How many did you have to take, to get this one? I figure kids of this age would be 'pretty' hard to capture...hehe. Nice lighting, and reflections. Catch eye is like a sparkle in her eye...and the dress is cute.

Thanks folks, I guess I took about 20 shots all together. I mainly take a lot of shots when I do kids so I can get multiple facial expressions and choose the one I like the best.

Great shot but ide like to have seen a full mirror reflection but still great capture

I used my 550ex to light the background, a strobe with softbox to camera left a little above the subject, and another small strobe with umbrella to camera right.

I think some of the light from the flash also spilled into the shot.

Very nice capture.and thats a cute kid.
