I simply lowerd the Gamma Level to .50 using IrfanView. I tried changing contrast and adding effects but that was killing the soft nature of the image...What do u think about it?

These look great everyone! joblack, how did you get the leaves so colorful? And shung, could you tell me how you did yours? Boy do I need practice! Thanks everyone!

Lynn

1. change the Level
2. create a new layer apply gaussian blur, apply mask on this layer change the mask to gradient so progressively more blur towards the top.
3. flattened the layer
4. duplicate a new layer, apply noise dust and scratches, apply gaussian blur for smoothing the skin, apply mask
5. use brush to change mask to show smoothed skin
6. manually blur the lower part of the tree.
done.

did some levels. the girl's face had more red hugh to it, so i selected it, feathered it, and removed some red, evened that out. then added a vignette to the outside corners. i thought it brought the attention in on the children where it should be. just personal opinions.

great shot. keep up the great work.

There are slight differences, and I did not add anything to the image (ie: effects or anything)

He still has one more move.

Here is my attempt, multiply a copy layer with about 40% opacity, and adjust black point in levels, and tweaked curves.
