True, it does evoke images of the hooded assasin. But, this gentleman is a carnival barker, or "carnie" in the vernacular, and he was taking tickets to see a big snake called the Maneater.

I really like the idea of readable text in photographs of people and have been trying to develop that theme (see Sirloin post), and if they comment in some way on the subject, all the better.

I am pretty sure the guy had no teeth to speak of. When I asked him if I could take his portrait he kind of gummed an answer. Yeah, it does kind of look like his mouth is missing. And, he was quite proud of his sunglasses. Interesting juxtaposition of the slick, modern eyeware to his grizzled, vagabond style.
