Ashame about the blown out sky. Did you should in RAW? If so you could make the photo darker to bring the sky out and blend in photoshop.
The colours are great. It must be autum where you are.

I have to come up that way one day Becca! Nice find - I like the splash of autumn colours in the first shot particularly.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Weka, I did shoot in raw, and that IS a blended image! :) Believe it or not, thats the color of the sky up here a lot of the time. I would LOVE to have those gorgeous blue skies you have down there! And yes, it is fall... heading into winter here. Want to trade?

Elisabeth-Ann - Come on up!

First one is really nice, Becca. I like the old netting draped along the posts. I can just imagine how fishy it must have smelled. :-)

The second looks a little tilted to the left.

I especially like the first, it has a story to tell. With the lack of colour in the wood it 'almost' has a feel of selective colour but only better because it's not ;)

I really like the composition of #1 and how the different colors of the floats hanging stand out from the weathered siding.:)

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
