I am working on a post card for a client....they have seen the initial copy but I'd be curious what you guys think.

Any ideas to make it better or which one do you like best?

Oh, I like the first one. The purple distracts me. I also like the view of the clubhouse in the background.

Same here for the exact same reasons. The purple just doesn't seem to go with the green. And the little bits of blurry clubhouse sticking out from behind the pics are distracting.

I too prefer #1. The club house fits very well in the first. I'm curious as to why you chose a different shot of the father/daughter golf pairing in each postcard?

Sorry about the purple, in the corrected version it is blue....

I actually have 4 cards, one each with two different shots of the father daughter in case they don't want the "back side" of two differnt golf photo's.

I just don't have another shot I like for the 2nd golf shot. I prefer the first one with the father/daughter walking away.

I voted for the first one. However, I think it would be even better with a blue sky and some white fluffy clouds floating by. Water in the background appears blue so that would hint that the sky was blue. No one likes to be outside when the sky is as threatening as this one looks.

I like the first one, with the second setup of smaller pics... the backside thing doesnt make too much difference, but i seem to like the second '45 holes of golf' better...

Actually that is a typical summer afternoon sky in Texas. When the temp gets in the 100's we get these afternoon clouds. We kinda like them because they do give us a little shade on the course.

Thanks though.....I could remove the sky and put some fluffy ones.....just not sure I want to go that option.

I really like the first one. The house in the upper right corner is nice and sharp. I like the picture of the couple golfing better in the second one.

Thanks tony,

I did blur the 2nd one on purpose..with it sharp it was just way too busy and competed with the smaller images.

I think I've gotten rid of the purple......being a color blind photographer can be difficult at times...;)

So I take it #1 is the way to go.
I'm not sure I made it clear, I'm not "limited" to these designs....if anyone has any other suggestions on layout I'd like to hear them....

Thanks Dwight

From a design perspective (I'm a designer) they're all way too busy.

A postcard can only effectively communicate 2/3 messages at the most. You're trying to communicate half a dozen. I would try to pick the 2 to 3 best shots and lose the rest.
