My friend from photo class. The teacher gave me an A-, but I think he was being a little too generous, as he likes me (I use my equipment as opposed to the schools, and show a real interest, as opposed to just signing up for a screw off class)

Comments and Critz Please!

I agree. It was more of a Candid shot, which explains the eyes, and the hair out of frame.

yeah, maybe a little less exposure and a slightly wider frame and it would be real nice. Overall, I would say it's nice.

you can mess with the exposure to a degree in PS...;)

I like your control over the background ... it sets her off nicely. Your overall image is very much under-saturated. (her face almost looks black and white .. it is so under-saturated) Your lighting could be a lot better. Study how to control light with both positive and negative reflectors. Put a positive reflector in place, to shine light where you want it, and negative reflectors to block light, where you don't want it.

Here is my version of your image. I hope it helps to inspire you.

I like it Craig. I wish i had reflectors there when I took the shot, but like i said, it was kinda spur of the moment....no lighting available, other than the natural light when she stepped back :)
