3 is fantastic, pity about the handlers arm in the way.

We have enough youth. How about a fountain of "Smart"?

I actually like it with the handlers arm in the shot. Shows what the Eagle is fixated on and aiming for.

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.

Thanks guys!

The arm in the shot in #3 was intentional. I wanted it like that for the same reason Dale mentions above. I had it in mind not long after the show started and was just waiting and waiting for the bird and the handler to find the right position for it. I'm glad one turned out alright.

Nick,

I like the arm in shot #3, you can really see the birds eyes focused on that target. Great effort.

Love the portrait shot, Wedge Tails are just my favourite birds of prey so thanks for posting these shots! During my time down under I lost count the number of times I stopped the van on the roadside to try and get a shot of a Wedgie. During the 7 months I was there I only got 2 or 3 decent shots, very difficult birds to get close to out in the wild. Stunning birds though, thanks once again!

Great series Nick. The first one is stunning. The intensity in the eye is the look of a real predator.

Glad you enjoyed them, Paul. Yeah, these sanctuaries sure beat playing the waiting game in the wild.

Thanks, Blue. The 70-200 f2.8 IS for all of them.

All stunning. Especially #3, I love the arm in there and the look on the Eagle's face. :)

Great work Nick. No 1 is simply stunning and you nailed the flight shot with no 3.
