Just received my new (to me) 1DsMkII before going on a 3 day fishing trip so I trew it in a bag with a couple of lenses for some test shooting between fishing.

I got a few quick shots I liked:

My son starting a day of fishing in Flamingo (Everglades National Park, Florida):

My son running the boat while I relax on the way to a new fishing spot:

Staked out on a flat chumming for bait as the sun was coming up:

I'm loving the camera so far. It is very different from the 5D and 20D. That whole 2 handed thing to change settings takes getting used to.

The shot of him driving the boat looks like it's right out of a fishing magazine. Too bad you didn't use a zoom on the sunset shot. It would have been nice to see a close up for the cloud detail. It looks like it was quite a sunset.

Excellent sunset picture!! As JT said, a little closer would have been nice - still I suppose with 16mp you can crop quite a bit ;)

Thanks folks. They are sunrise pictures, by the way. I only had a couple of lenses with me because this was a fishing trip more than a photography trip.

Sunrise? Well then, nice sunrise picture! Like the others too, but the last one is my favorite.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
