It's difficult to get a really good portrait in full face, and when you do it will probably require some degree of cross-lighting in order to give better 3-dimensionality.

You might want to try with the subject's head at various angles and looking in different directions to get more interest.

The good news is that your exposure is about right - perhaps just a little hot - and the color balance looks fine.

I can't be sure that you used flash, but that's what it looks like. Just a simple, frontal or flat flash lighting arrangement is, in my opinion, about the least desirable lighting for portraits.

From the standpoint of composition, I would suggest that it is a little too centered - however, your background harmonizes well with the subject and is sufficiently blurred to not be distracting.

A very nice picture, but has room for improvent in lighting and posing.

Adorable. Baby shots always cloud my photographic judgement because I love them. I do agree with mr Lay though, although I think it must be tricky to photograph little people at the best of times. Nice DOF

cropping in tighter might help this shot, just lighting from a different angle next time will make a world of difference
