D.C.F. All the edits are very good but I think your's is the best.

OK, your WB is waaaaaay off....
Thats why its green!!!

Also, when posing families tell mum and dad to stick to looking and smiling into the camera then work on the kids with bells or music or something, anything to get their attention - trust me its not that hard when you do about 8 families a day!

When posing families try and keep their heads in a nice roundness together...meaning bring both bubs in on the mum and dad's other legs rather thatn the outside laps. Take charge over the shoot and tell them exactly how to pose.

Your cropping either needs o be out more or really zoomed in too...it needs to be slightly re-aligned to the left aswell.

Del, as you do so many families do you have a site where I can see some pics. I am always looking for new poses. I am still new like D.C.F.

Thanks!

With the DARK pictures you might check to see which light metering mode your camera is in, you will get differences with spot/evaluative/average, etc Take a few test shots in these different modes if you continue to get DARK pictures and you may find your fix

Awright, everyone mentioned the green, and that's fixed, and I think it's a great shot overall, the only thing I find distracting is the lock of hair on the left temple of the younger child. Maybe it's just me, but that detracts from my enjoyment of the shot as a whole. Otherwise, the portrait gives a really nice feel for what a family should be. (Yeah, I know, ya can't always get kids' hair to behave...just nitpicking!)

Looking at it again, the child on the left may not be younger, but I trust you get my drift.

great job Cleo. Looks great. Will have a stab at it. THanks for giving me the tips guys. I'm new to not only photography but also photoshop. I know the only way to learn is to just do it and learn from your mistakes. Thnx to everyone. May add more pics from this shoot. For some reason my camera makes DARK pictures. Some are nice others are dark. I'm sure it's lighting. I'm only using natural light. All I can afford. :D Any tips on some lighting to purhase for somewhat cheap? thnx

If you were getting dark pics with this series, it was most likely because of all the white the family was wearing. You'll need to learn how the camera "looks at" and meters a scene and make adjustments to your exposure compensation depending on the subject.
