Work out if your PC does USB2, if not get an adaptor and a USB2 card reader. I think you can get SATA or IDE card readers too, which might be cheaper/easier.

I bought a GE reader a few months back that said it was a Hi-Speed 2.0 reader. It took about 10 minutes to download a 1GB card. A few wekks ago I borrowed a friends reader that was a Hi-Speed 2.0 reader and it took about 3 minutes. I have since bought a new SanDisk reader that also takes about 3 minutes.
