the only thing i can say is maybe next time have her bring her chin down just a bit one other thing maybe change your F Stop so the DOF wouldn't have been as sharp...

Nice shot ;-)a I agree with WilliamL, bring her chin down and increase your DOF. You have a lovely subject and the background being so sharp and vast tends to distract from her. Nice job ;-)a

Welcome to the people section! Not a bad first attempt. A couple more suggestions - use some fill flash to brighten the shadows on the face a bit, definitely remove the sunglasses if at all possible and focus on the eyes, and tip her head down a bit.

Overall posing - if you really want full body shots this is fine, perhaps a bit closer crop, but in any case turn her right shoulder toward the camera and turn her head to look at the camera. It is generally more flattering. And a big smile would help.

chin down, no sunglasses, a big smile (natural is key!) and open that aperture up to soften the background, other than that, looks good.

you have a nice yard =)

Thank you all, I think I have it now and will use your suggestions on the next shoot both outdoor and in. Now if I can only get them glasses off of her outside!
