Lighting was tough on this one, the sun even at 9:30AM is still low, so not only was it dark in areas, you would also get a lot of glare. Overall I'm happy with it. Shot at ISO 800 and then cropped to eliminate the blown sky, even with a polarising filter on.

Lovely reflection. I like how the color is almost all on one side of the picture. Isn't autumn wonderful?

Excellent contrast between the gray trees in the BG and the Fall colors, Sandy.
The reflection is also very sharp and detailed.

I like this a lot.

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

Thanks all for the comments, It truly was a spur of the moment shot, Just stand there looking around and spotted him. :D Rick you are so right about autumn being to short, which at least the autumn weather stuck around for a long time. :D

Greetings, I love the contrast between the muted tones on the left and the brilliant colors on the right. Very nice. KC

Thanks Dimitri, I'm glad I cropped also, You can see a little of the sky in the reflection on the lower right, you will see even there the sky looks very flat.

beautiful scene Sandy
you must have stopped on your way to work
or maybe it was your tea break
or maybe it was the weekend break off work:)

tiny bits of the sky are reflected and polarisied for ever in the water
as you say ( or said...somewhere before ) a polariser does not a blue sky make... if its not there already
gorgeous Autumn shot.
it works very well with the sky cropped out

regards, Marie
