beautiful scene Sandy
you must have stopped on your way to work
or maybe it was your tea break
or maybe it was the weekend break off work:)

tiny bits of the sky are reflected and polarisied for ever in the water
as you say ( or said...somewhere before ) a polariser does not a blue sky make... if its not there already
gorgeous Autumn shot.
it works very well with the sky cropped out

Thanks Marie.

No stopping after work, It's close to my Moms house, I practictly grew up there, so i stop down every once in a while to see whats new. :D

It is a lovely photo. Love the reflections in the still water. It is a nice capture to get a lone individual standing in the spot he is in. Great title for it.

I really like the autumn shots as we basically don' t get that here in southern Texas. The trees change colors of course but not all at once so no big deal.

I miss the fall leaves in the north!

LOve the colours on the tree and the reflection on the water. Did you try this in portrait format? All your interest seems to be on the rhs of the image and you could make best use of this by rotating the camera 90 deg.

Thanks all for the comments. Yes Alan I did try it in portrait form, however it lost a lot of the impact I was trying to stress and that was the solitude of the person with a lot of space around him. A tighter crop would not have added anything to the photo, but thank you for the suggestion.
