This is Huntington Beach. On my way home from work today, I was coming over a hill and noticed some thick smog in the sky line and some interesting clouds in the West. I knew that the combination should make for an interesting sunset and so I headed to the beach.

Here are two more. The first one was taken within a minute of the sun setting. The second was 11 minutes after. The colors completely changed from yellow to red during this time.

It's amazing how small the window is for a sunrise/sunset. When you go back and look at the shots, you can really see the variations as the ideal window for a good shot passes by.

Okay, here's one more. I took 200 pictures in that 15-20 minute window and totally overlooked this one when I first went through them to decide which ones I would post process. This is 4 minutes after sunset and look totally different from the moment of sunset when everything was yellowish and 10 minutes after when the color red dominated. I like how the ground looks like glass here.
