Having a 2nd go at B&W landscapes

This is my second try on converting a photograph to an acceptable B&W. Any comments or advice is welcome.Any comments and critques are welcome. This picture was taken outside of Hope, Alaska on a midsummer's evening.

i like it a lot except for the thing in the bottom left sticking up. i can't tell what it is but it's a bit distracting from what it an awesome landscape. very nice other than that, great shadows!

I really like it.
The scene has a great sense of space...
the light in the sky and on the slope are well waited for :)
good spread of tone and detail,
have to agree about the thing left front...
came to accept it as a counter point to the nestled houses :)
would be interesting to know what settings and conversion process you used.

This has a great mood. Looks like you clicked the shutter at just the right time to catch the light on the mountain side. Your conversion has a very nice tonal range. Cloning out the thingy sticking up should not be a problem. I can certainly see this hanging on a wall. Good job!

hope you like took out the fence post bunt in the sky .pulled the ofset and gamma in exsposure a bit to . but in the first place you did a desent job a good capture of the light on the hill side
