This is the 'Enchanted Forest at Faskally, Perthshire.
Quite a challenge for those of us in-experienced in night and low light photography.

We had to work hard for our images!

I really like this one! It looks like a giant cobweb. The colors are outstanding

Very nice - I really like this shot. Did you do a little painting with light on this one?

Thanks Carol.
A giant cobweb is what it was supposed to be.
There was also a pipe hidden under the ground foliage pumping smoke.

Tanks Dimitri.
It was a challenge but a few valuable lessons learned and at least some of had two attempts at it as we attended 2 nights.

Thank you Stephen.
I did consider 'painting with light' with a torch and did use that technique of some of the shots, but on the re-visit on Sunday I mainly used bounced/diffused flash to pick out a little foreground detail.
The colours came from coloured lamps which I tried my best to keep out of view.

Well, it looks to be worth the effort. Are you SURE you're inexperienced with night photography? ;)

Very nice colors captured here Steve.
I bet exposure was the most challenging here.
What metering was used?

Very much so, but now I have the bug!
I have been following very closely the work of Les Mac and Dimitri and have gleaned tons of advice from them both, online and in person, which is what is so great about these POTN Meets....much better than a local camera club full of tweedy old crows giving lectures and banging on about how 'film' is best.

Thanks Frank...rightly or wrongly, the metering mode used was evaluative.
I'm all ears on what I should have used as I simply don't know!
