I did and am glad I did so. IQ is equal or better and there are time in low light that I'm very glad to have IS.

But I don't want to manage 4 cameras. It's just too much. So, if I have to choose, it's the 5D, EOS 3 for me and 10D for my son to use. Suzie - Still Speaking Canonese!
