To tell the truth, I'm usually so involved with my own picture taking that I have never given a thought to what others might think. It might be different though if they were pointing and laughing:lol: . Who knows?;) ...who cares?

Maybe they had never seen a white lens before, thought you had it all adhesive-taped up to hold it together. :)

I undersand how you must have felt, especially if it was a group. You do come across tits now and again, the key is to ignore them and get on with it.
(you might have had a length of toilet paper stuck to your shoe) ;-)a

I was out for a stroll with the missus in my local park the other day, camera in hand hoping to snap a few autumn colours.

I found it a bit of a challenge due to the 4 teenage chav/ned girls who followed us around, running in front of me whenever I attempted to compose a shot.

Should have snapped a few shots of them, threatened to PS their heads onto nude bodies and post them on the web :D . Of course, who knows, they might not have minded that.

I'd be frightened to take a pic with them in it, in case they decided to brand me a 'pervert' or 'paedophile' and report me!

I was just thinking about this, perhaps they were simply laughing in relation to you -- something funny that wasn't actually making fun of you, if that makes sense. Like, "boy that sure is a canon" or something silly like that. Were they Americans? I understand that we tend to be very obnoxious abroad: it's like there's a switch that goes on when we cross the border.

Some adults are adult only in body and are unfortunately stuck with an immature emotional make-up. They will laugh at those they perceive different, even if it is something as minor as having a DSLR instead of the more common P&S or camera phone.

Don't feel like you need to leave in situations like this. The problem is theirs, not yours. Ignore them, perhaps pity them but don't change your pursuits because of them.

Absolutley 100% agree with this comment, at least it's given someone else a rest

Mark

Has any experienced this? I came over to the pool and snapped of a few of my uncle drinking for a laugh, and after a minute or two, there was a group of foreign adults on the other side of the pool, staring and laughing at me. And before long, there was another handfull at the bar. I knew they were taking the mick because they were all staring at me, one would be saying something, then they would all laugh. I felt really...annoyed/embarrased and so had to leave.

I had my 350D, BG-E3 and 70 - 200mm USM on me at the time.

Has anyone else had anything like this before?

Was it like in your dreams, where you show up at the pool and forgot to put your pants on?....LOL

I havent had something like this happen yet, but its just a matter of time.

Maybe they thought you were taking sneaky paparazzi style pics of your uncle! Or maybe they were just stupid!

You should have told them the owner hired you to take pictures of everyone to try and find out who has been peeing in the pool.
