I just got back from a 10 day trip to PI and discovered this thread. Had to go home for my lola's funeral. :( Didn't shoot much environment while there but thought I'd share one capture.

I do have a question for pro pinoy's working in Manila since I live in CA. I'm trying to get some large poster size prints for my ate's store in Serendra. Does anybody have any labs out there that makes large format prints? I'm hoping to FTP the file to their lab and have my ate pick up the images. I don't do a lot of advertising so any advice on what type of output media would be super helpful to me.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I'd suggest you have your sister ask around. She can inquire with the neighboring stores perhaps on who to contact and who is recommended via word of mouth. She'll have a better way of finding out prices too. Just email the pics to her and she can take it from there.

Hopefully others can chime in on actual suggestions. Good luck.

Station 1 is the nicest of all the stations, widest beach front, and nicest resorts and all... plus the area has less bars etc..so its quiet.

Thanks for the wishes. I'll have my ate ask around. Those forums look like a good source as well. I'll update my findings. Thanks again :)

those shots were taken February 14 2011 Jenn, I think its a good time... if you want to mingle with the crowd be sure to be there on weekends, if you want lesser crowd then go on weekdays :D

Thanks for the heads up, Steven. I really appreciate all the tips you've given me for this trip. And thank you for posting such excellent photos of the place. :D

Getting recommendations and prices via word of mouth is best. Negotiate everything up front. Everything. Otherwise they may nickel and dime you on "fees".
