Hello Kabayan!!!

Well I am getting ready for the trip home for 3 weeks back to Cavite and will swing around from Batangas, Tagaytay, Manila, and Subic area and might go to Palawan as well.

Well I am trying to minimize my gear to go home and trying to figure out what is the best I could go with and not having to say I should have it in my bag.

The following is my gear list and please suggest which is more doable since I will be attending a wedding, enjoying the night life with friends, and having some pro karting sessions in carmona and subic with my friends

and also I have a photo shoot at my friends studio in cavite

Gear list:
40D gripped x 2
17-55 IS
24-70 2.8
24-105 IS
35L
85L
70-200 2.8 IS
70-200 f4 IS
430EX2 x 2
530EX2 x 2

Well I am thinking of bringing both 40D's a 17-55 IS, 35L 85L and the 70-200 f4IS and both 430EX2

what do you think??

Booboo, if i were you, i would bring everything that would fit on a Pelican case 1510 (or 1514 with the dividers). on my current setup, i could fit 3 zooms, two bodies, and 3 flashes (check my sig). i would probably leave the primes as you have very good zooms on your list.

Im sure you already know that the homeland is very photogenic. plan on taking an UWA lens if you have one (or rent if you dont have one).

most of all, enjoy ka pare!

I can go and put everything in my Think Tank Airport Security roll away and will hand carry it thru with my laptop backpack as well...

Thanks almost for the UWA but contemplating if I will bring the Canon 10-22 or the Tokina 12-24 f4 pro... I will need to get shots of my farm at Cavite

I want to bring the prime for the wedding since I don't want to use the flash to be light and some studio work with my friends

ROFL! She's neither. She thinks that if I visit home, I'll go out and tap anything cute with two legs. I'm like wateva!:) She's heard stories of that happening and with that said, I can't go! I always tell her I want to visit my family and she just rolls her eyes.

If it were me, I would bring one camera and those lenses you suggested. The way things are now with weight restrictions, you gotta pack it pretty light.

That depends on who you marry. My wife's pretty cool in general but, she won't let me visit the P.I. :)

Ahh yes...well, there is THAT.

When I told my buddies last year that I spent some time in Manila they were really excited. But when I told them that my wife never gave me any time by myself they all just cried, "Booooooo! That's no fun!"
