Wow peter you really are rocking with those shots. Thanks for sharing. At least even if there's no chance for me to visit that place, i've already seen it through your photos

I've just learned of this lens yesterday. And some of the reviews that I've read seems to have mixed opinions. From bad copies that it takes the buyer to discover, then sent away for warranty (only then that the lens works perfectly) to other owners that swear by how well it performs for them. But the price is something no one can argue.I am saving for either the Canon 10-22 or the Tokina 11-16. But I'm seriously considering this lens due to price difference. The reason? I'm re-thinking if I really need a UWA. Secondly, aside from a 50mm 1.8. I don't have a short lens that's fast enough for indoor use. Hey... you talking about the Tamron 28-75mm? I used to have that lens until I sold it to fund my 70-200mm VRII purchase just 2 months ago

ang ganda naman nito! hanef. jun, yep most if not all of my landscape pics were taken with the 28-75 mm, including the rogers and telus pics. agree with monk3y, its quite sharp and pretty good indoors. i find my copy very good with regards to locking focus even in lowlight. i love this lens pero sometimes its not wide enough lalo na sa amin, maliit lang kasi bahay namin. ... does it really matter?i see with my eyes, i shoot with my fingers.

I dunno but I find the shots that I get from this lens to be very clean and yes sharp even wide open....it does lock focus accurately but problem is I have to wait for it to lock sometimes. Sorry to hear you had to sell it but I'm sure you've weighed the pros & cons before you've made the final decision. I did read about the focusing issue. Jun.Roberto.Dizon.Gregorio

I did read about the focusing issue. Nice shot. Too bad about the lone fisherman with the light. @Jodelak. I think I'll follow your gear purchases. You now have two items that made think of spending my hard earned cash. But I think the Sigma flash will have to step aside for this lens. As always you two have not disappointed me with your photos. Salamat [thank you] Thanks I can probably clone it out now... when I shot that photo I dunno how to clone out cleanly so I just left it as is hehe... I have been learning how to do post processing slowly.

I have been learning how to do post processing slowly. as for pros and cons in selling it, I have always been shooting in the extreme...I want it wide or long.. and the 28-75mm seems to be mediocre at both, not too wide and not too long hehe after getting the 16-35mm f/4 this week... I think I will be done with my setup for a long long time. Sigma 12-24mm, 16-35mm, 50mm f/1.8D, 70-200mm VRII ![]() Yes you got a good set up. I also believe in the notion that as long as you've got a reliable collection of glasses. You'll never need to upgrade often Jun.Roberto.Dizon.Gregorio

Fixed income and photography does not bode well together .Definitely note one can argue that Pinas [Philippines] has the best sunrise/sunsets. yeap... I like to bring all my gear with me so I like to keep my lens collection small so I don't have to leave anything at home
