I was standing on the part of Quezon bridge that crosses over Palanca St. My lens was pointed north west towards SM Clearance Store (building with the formerly evolving top floor).
Look at the Google Maps link you posted. It shows Quezon bridge crossing over Palanca.
Never mentioned Carriedo as I never set foot on the street or eyeball it. I'm also not monk3y.
To further clarify I was photographing the south eastern face of SM Clearance Store.
After traveling to former colonies such as Singapore and Hong Kong I could imagine how Manila would have looked like if the economy of the Philippines were still second to Japan. Makes me wish I was born after WWII to appreciate the city more.
BTW SM Clearance Store appears to be a rehab old building. What was that building before?
