Thank you Mr. Pao... to bad I have no telephoto with me, was forced to break the rules and shoot inside the parade area gave mine to my brother, I am looking to purchase the 70-200mm VRII in the coming months

I think the wide works better. I would've brought my wide & standard zoom.

Instead of Sinulog I did this instead.

The semis of the UFL Cup was held at Alabang Country Club last Sunday, January 16. Next game will be held Sunday, January 23 at Alabang Country Club between 10AM until sunset.

haha I am currently using a D700 + Tamron 28-75mm for all those wonderful shots

I used to be a Canon user, sold my 500D and bought the D700 and never looked back. but never left POTN

btw, if Canon can do it right in the next 3 or 4 years, I might go back I have no problem with both brands so I could easily switch back and forth

Mr. Pao, what side are you on? never shot any sports yet, but I think soccer is a good sport to practice on since its usually in bright sunny weather hehe... should try to look at some sports events near me.. ohh need to buy telephoto first hahaha

Steven, what do you mean by which side? Sports photography is enjoyable to shoot. You get action, emotion and a story of struggle. I am sure Cebu has lots of sports to cover though I would focus on inter-college and national events. If you guys have international competition the better.

I mean which team are you siding on? hehehe I always end up choosing the underdogs... very crisp shots Mr. Pao

I went there upon the invitation of one of the players of Green Archers United. But I gave a fair shake for both teams so long as the shots had drama. I find that I was 1/3 a stop too exposed for these shots as I am so used to photographing birds. Anyway I shall bring different lens next time as I found myself wanting more length.

I was shooting straight out of jpeg and just did simple cropping and some brightness control for the shots.
