I can't decide which I prefer:

40D, 30D, 16-35L, 24-70L, 24 1.4L, 50 1.4, 70-200L, 100-400L, 430EX, G9
3 camera bags, tripod, CPs, chocolate lab assistant
and a lot less $$$ in the bank account... but learning a ton here and having a darn good time!!:)

I vote portrait for this particular scene.

I am going to take few photos but confusing to take Landscape in portrait orientation or Portrait in Landscape orientation.
Mostly easier to take Landscape in portrait orientation even no landscape here, only if i go far to do that.
I will do my best.

the second one is more powerful to me.

the first one lacks punch.


350d, 5d, 28-70L, 70-200L, 430EX,
50 1.8, 85 1.8 - full alienbees studio set.

Portrait definitely. The openess of the landscape takes away from it. The portrait is more intense.
