Hi everyone

As others before me have already said, the 3rd meet was a great success.
All the boys were superb,i really enjoied the company and definitely will do it again.
Nice to see all the new faces as well as the old ones.

Anyway, lets join the cue and post some of the pictures , not that i took many , i prefered watching the others do it , it was a great experience watching the masters do it i must admit , and the boys are getting very very good i`ll dare say.

These two are from the river Garry in Pitlochry.

I'll second Adrian's comments, but what is all the more humbling for me was that I stood at the very spot for the first photo and didn't see that potential.

It's also getting more and more depressing when I see more of our visit photos being posted, when I'm sure mine aren't even close to the quality of them. :( ;)

Dimitri, you can really see how the river bottom drops off into the darkness, it seems as though it's pretty deep.
What catches my eye in the first shot is of course that lonely little plant down in the FG,a perfect added touch and in the second shot it's the submerged rock, the texture and color of the water, really shows how deep it is. Also the reflection is so sharp it's dazzling to the eyes, in a good way.
Two lovely shots.

Wow! Stunning shots Dimitri- as usual of course :) Both the shots have great foreground interest and the submerged rock in the second one is particularly intruiging. Looking forward to more such fantastic shots from the rest of the bunch!

That is the very reason i asked you if you would like to get to that spot John,i just wanted to see if you would come out with it.
Of cours in a very good way and for learning perposes, and by saying that i don`t want you to think for a minute that i`m being superior, just trying to help as much as i can my friend.
I`ve found that only by looking around you very hard you can see the potensial every area has.
I hope (and i`m being very honest) that something came out of this and the next time we`ll meet,we`ll go together as a team and start searching for chances.;)

Yes Frank,at that point it was quite deep, thats the reason it was very calm too.
Thank you very much for the good words.

First one is terrific. I like the second one, too, but the first one is special. The lighting on the plant is great...did you use a flash? Also, did you plant the 3 leaves or did they just happen to be laying there? ;-)a

 The Master has posted! Superb!

I saw 'Dimitri's beach' and I stood on the same rock as he was standing on in number 2 but I took a shot in the opposite direction - it was not a good one. :(

You really have the eye, my friend. :) I have learned to watch Les approach a location - now I need to watch you!

Never use flash Jim,although i own the 580,i never use it,i am a lover of natural light and thats the reason i never shoot without a tripod.
Yes i planted the 2 of the leaves.;)

good to see the masters work

i see what you were teaching me in the first shot with the foreground - it sets your eyes on a trail to see whats next and i love the wisp of the water next to the trees

just superb

Nice shots as usual Dimitri.

You always manage to create fabulous shots from every day subjects. Your pictures would look great on the cover of Time magasine or the Sierra Club.

Cheers from your Ayrshire Cousin.

Cousin.
