Just got back from South Africa - visited the HHLHLUWE Game Reserve.
here are just a few photos ive taken comments welcome. Most pictures were taken with a 100-400 f4.5/5.6
Most the shots were taken stopped down to f8 - my only regret was using a [H]oya uv filter, which caused some malformed bokeh issues.

All shots were taken with the camera set to Aperture Priority.

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi is one of my favourite Parks and was the first one I visited (in a hired Toyota Jazz if I remember correctly!!) Within 100m of the gate we encountered a Mother Rhino and calf right besides the road and I was smitten with safari from that day on. Really enjoyed Hilltop Camp and the Rondahvals there. Had a fantastic steak ... probably the best I ever tasted. Seems you enjoyed it too ;-)a

Thanks folks, yes the Hill Top Camp was great. I'de like to go to the Kruger National Park next, but next year I've promised the wife to do Cape Town and the wine route

Here is some more:

Very nice series! I wish I'd go there ;-)a It seems you had quite a bit of luck and saw most of the big animals...

Very nice, looks like you had a great time! I especially like the shots of the water buffalo (assuming that's what it was?) and the elephant, nice job!
