That market will continue strong I reckon, unabated by the advent of any other seemingly competitive lens. Ok and that relates to this topic how? Are you trying not to mention the 50mm 1.2? Petkal wrote in post #2167164 Right....simply because the lens is scarce and very expensive. The pricier, the more desireable the lens becomes......that's generally the way that market works. Actually i think the market works the other way, the more desireable the lens is the more expensive it becomes. Petkal wrote in post #2167164 I have seen relatively often some owners advancing their photography rationale for owning the lens. Some rationale is relatively logical, others are as plausible as my walk around gear ID. Ok so people make good and bad arguments for owning lenses. Petkal wrote in post #2167164 I think one of the major reason for owning the lens is to be able to say you have it. Which I have no quarrel with.![]() So you dont mind people having lenses just for the sake of having them. Moderation is for people that can't handle excess.

One is EX+ and one LKnew with pictures of the same lens in each description. Also it seems strange to me that there is no head on front view of the lens but only a head on view of the rear element.
