Will Tamron Lenses Work On A Rebel XTi ?

I'm looking at 2 lenses, a Tamron AF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical Autofocus Lens and a Tamron Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens.

Before I pull the trigger, I need to know if they will work. I know the Canon EF lenses will, but am not sure about the Tamrons.

Any maker's lenses designed for Canon EF or EF-s mount will work on the XTi

You'd be better off with the Tamron 17-50 or 28-75, and a Sigma 70-300 APO DG, if you're just starting out. They're better optically but won't break the bank.

That's what I needed to know -- now I just have to be able to work a deal with the seller! (I wasn't able to get it worked out).
