Canon ef-75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens Instruction Manual ?

Is there a pdf on the Canon EF-75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens instruction manual available? Typical Noob, I bought one with no manual and need to learn how to use it..........

Also, is this a good lens? (I hope, 'cuz I already paid for it)

Hi Jim,
firstly I doubt there is a instruction manual for a basic lens like this, as theres not really alot to using them. I think that lens only has the one switch on it and thats the AF/MF. What do you need to know about the lens ? Maybe I or someone else here can help better if we can understand your needs.

Can't help you with a manual but I can give you a few tips.
Don't ever try to manually focus when AF is on (you could strip the focus gears if you do).
Try to use faster shutter speeds when doing hand held photos.
To answer your other question: Yes its a good lens for its cost. I have taken many good photos with it myself, so go and enjoy it

I am really new at this Canon digital camera thing, and don't want to do anything to damage the equipment -- I'm asking the typical noob questions! The tip on manual focus when the AF is on never occured to me, as I could do that with my Sony. Glad you let me know about it!
