eym, what exactly do you want criticism on? I mean i can pick a photo apart because i have a fair bit of quality control knowledge....but im taking it that your new to photography so i will be a little less picky lol

The shot is flat, you need some fill flash to make the subject pop with colours also to fill in that shaded light. You have cut off the childs head, and i think a portrait shot rather than landscape would work better.
You need a faster shutter speed as he is slightly out of focus, and a less distracting background - or using an f stop like 2.8

Hope this helps, photography is worth learning and practicing :)

I also am a strong believer that honest criticism will help you in the long run, where as "Nice shot" is just not worth mentioning...

Honestly, it looks like a snapshot. Like there was not much thought put into the composition, lighting, exposure, and idea that you want to portray or emotion you want to show.

Cute kid indeed. You've already received some good advice to improve next time. The only other thing I'd add is to watch your backgrounds and try to avoid distracting items and people parts.
