I'm just on the tail end of the processing from Sundays' great day out with the boys.

The first shot was lying on the rocks and hand held.
I was drawn to the brown water on the second shot.
The third 'portrait shot was with a little help from Dimitri who strategically placed some Autumn leaves on the boulder :)

First one is a good'un Steve, excellent exposure/composure with well controlled whites.

I'd crop a bit from the top, it does nothing for the image, and with the crop you are drawn more to the glorious doiagonal flow.

And the leaves look as though they have been 'strategically placed' :)

Thanks Les.
Give me 10 minutes and you'll see the re-posted cropped version.

That's Dimitris' fault.
I would have dropped them randomly myself.
If you want a job doing properly, do it yourself

The first is my favourite.. I like the sheen on the rocks and the texture of the water as it drops down.

Me too! I was hoping to see the result from your unique viewpoint (seen here in this dodgy crop from a snapshot of mine on the day!):

Yes, much better, your eyes flow more comfortably through the image :)

Nicely done Steve with another vote for #1 from me. I must remember in future to look out for Dimitri carrying leaves when I'm taking a shot. I'm starting to think that he also put that plant in the sand shot at River Garry too. ;)

The first one is stunning, IMO. I can't believe it was hand held. (But I have to since Mike Bell provided photographic proof :p)
