I was playing around fading heads into different bodies. I don't know how to match her face color to the rest of the picture. Any help? Thanks :D

Hi Tania;

Is this more what you wanted ? I duped the later and used Hue Saturation to take down the green and yellow in the face and then added a layer mask in hide all and painted it away. I also brightened the face.

I've done a bit of this sort of editing, so maybe I can give you a few tips..

I'm not sure which image program you're using, I use Picture Publisher (which hardly anyone else does) so you may have to make some allowences for software differences..

Try to match the position and size of the face as well as possible, if the face you're pasting is facing the wrong way you can mirror it. You can adjust the size by setting it's transparency to about 50% so you can see the image below, adjust it's size so the facial features pretty much line up, then turn off the transparency.

For color adjustment I usually use Gamma correction, it seems to do a better job than Hue adjustment. I'm not sure if other software has the same type of Gamma thing though, so you might have to stick to Hue.

Finally, you can take a copy of the area around the face from the original, and paste it over the new face, possibly with some transparency, so that parts of the hair are now in front of the new face, making it look more natural.

Here's a pic I did a while back of singer Derek Webb's head on a Star Wars character
