You see Ronald, your father and you remind me of myself when I was young.
Suffice to say I would peg the IQ meter (on the high end of the scale;) )every and each time they tested us in school. What happened then, you will rightfully ask. Well, I just hated going to school. So the system ejected me. As a result I had become a janitor. Nothing wrong with that. However, I could have had a cushy and clean well paid job such as Dante, Colickykat, Woolburr, Cyber, Condyk, Klepper and so many other professional folks here seem to have. There you have it .

Cushy and clean? I do believe that is the first time anyone has ever referred to a career in the fire service as being either cushy or clean. Thanks for the chuckle.;)

I think Ronald has a hard time dealing with people reaching out to him, extending their good will and affection to him. I think Ronald is more comfy dealing with Connie......no really bad surprises there....so the situation is very predictable.

Sorry Ron for dabbling into this little kinda psychological explanation for your silence. I am probably out to lunch as well as gettin all wet here.

Once again, I was out taking pictures. Whatever was I thinking?

I've never had any hands extended to me, and I don't need it. I've not had much "people" experience really, and I honestly don't care to. Until I move out of the area, anyway. The people around here are supremely disappointing, and mind-numbingly boring. Nothing to remedy the situation at this point, though.

Comfy dealing with Davey Wavey? Hardly. Just the sound of his name makes me rather uncomfortable. To be quite honest, I find him rude, obnoxious, and all too full of himself. In other words, I don't like feeling like I'm talking to myself.

I leave for an hour and this thread certainly has turned from a telethon to I don't know what! Ronald, you got to work on your Jerry Lewis routine to make a thread like this work...Condyk is a great Dean Martin...

Young men usually feel less grumpy if they have a GF.

If they have the right GF. While I tended to be a bit happier (for obvious reasons we won't discuss) with my last girlfriend (when I was 17.. ) I got stressed out because she was controlling, bitchy, and very..hrm...selfish.

So it was too much like looking in a mirror then? They do say opposites attract... :)

LOL... here's my take on Dave.. I think his sense of humor is such that he has a great time pickin' on folks who will pick back... you two play off eachother... do I think there's any real heat behind his words?... nah... i don't think it makes much of a difference to him... but, maybe dave should answer for himself and I might be overstepping my bounds?.. if so i'm sure he'll tell me about it... ;););)

Well, I just re-read this whole thing. Wow.

I didn't work in a gold mine, or lay rails or pick beans. I cooked burgers until I got married, raised two kids on a grocery clerk & part time pastor (husband's two jobs) salary and now I'm semi-retired, meaning I do what I please, when I can afford it ;). So I didn't have a hard life, but I worked hard doing what I was doing.

Which I'm sure Ron does. Whether or not it's hard labor, I can imagine how taxing it must be...my step-father is semi-invalid and the (emotional/mental) toll on my mother is quite significant.

Oh, and Ron, there are other reasons to have a girlfriend...companionship of someone your own age (and not nameless faces from POTN) would be a very good one ;) to start with...

Not much of a choice, dood. I guess I'm just that uninteresting and unattractive. ;-)a

Well, having only seen your nephew, I can't vouch for the attractive, but you are very interesting when you want to be. Do you have days off to go places/meet people? A circle of friends type thing?
