Love the bridge shot Murray!
I found this a difficult scene as there was lots of complicated detail and harsh light/shadow.

Yours is more balanced than anything I managed on the day.

You did well with the bridge shot Murray, as I remember the light being so harsh that I didn't even try taking a photo. I love the detail of the pebbles in the second shot too although the the white sky lets it down slightly.

Not so keen on the composure of the first but the second I like, the low angle, the colour of the rocks - but yeh the sky lets it down a bit.

Yes, I like the bridge shot a lot also, I particularly like how the light has picked out the detail on the underside of the bridge.

Well done.

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga

Both excellent shots. Like you say, a shame about the white sky but i guess its just an excuse to go back :)

Both are lovely shots but I especially like that second one with the rocks and the water. Why don't you just fill in the white sky with a very light gray blue at a low opacity in photoshop? I would do it just to see how it looks if you had imaging editing OK. It should be really easy and might make a big difference.
How many of you Scots were at that meet?

Thanks for the comments all :)

I am curious as to which bridge shot I like the most.

I tweaked this one rather extensively but I like the colours:

Probably best to sleep on it before I order :)
